Interview of Mir Brahumdagh Bugti,Baloch……..

Brahumdagh Bugti has sought asylum in Switzerland where he lives with his mother, wife and twochildren.

He was only 25 when his grandfather Nawab Akbar Bugti was murdered on August 26, 2006. As a favourite grandson, he was very close to the late Nawab, whose death hurt him so much that he fled to Afghanistan where he stayed for a number of years before landing in Switzerland

some time last year. “I can work for the people of Balochistan from here; I can raise voice for their rights; there is no point in going to the mountains,” he told me.

What are the core Baloch grievances? In what capacity is he representing the Baloch people? Is there any chance of his return to Pakistan? How would an ‘independent’ Balochistan survive? We discussed all this and more
